This class will help you turn your favorite photo of your pet into a painting! In this 4-week class, you will be guided through the process of painting your own pet portrait in acrylics.
Please bring a clear photo of your pet, preferably a head-and-chest shot. This class is not for beginners, but for individuals with some artistic experience, as we will begin with sketching out your pet.
Each week will include short, focused lessons with tips on how to capture key features such as eyes, noses, and a variety of fur and hair textures. The rest of the time is yours to paint, ask questions, receive help, and refine your skills.
By the end of this series, the goal is for you to have a completed acrylic portrait and a deeper understanding of how to paint a pet portrait. Please read below to know what you need to bring.
Note: This class will be taught in acrylics. This class is for students with some drawing and painting experience.
Please bring your choice of canvas, primed how you prefer, and no larger than 9 x 12. We want to ensure your portrait can be completed by the end of this series.
