Annville-Cleona Community Arts Day is Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Christ Church United Church of Christ, 200 South White Oak Street, Annville, PA.

This free event is a celebration of the arts in our community from pre-schools/nursery schools, elementary and secondary schools, college students and residents of Annville-Cleona, as well as the surrounding communities.  We are excited to announce that the Sadecky Puppets will open our day at 10:00 am with a live performance, and rounding out the day will be the Washington Band of Annville at 3:00 pm in our sanctuary. Other performances will be schedule throughout the day, including a “spotlight performance” time for those who may only have a song, or two to share. Visual Art exhibits will be ongoing throughout the day including artists from the Hershey Area Art Association and Phylis Dryden (photography) having their art for sale.  There will also be fun free art activities for children. Free refreshments from local business will be available.


For HAAA Members:

This is a new community art show, where Hershey Area Art Association (HAAA) members can showcase and sell their art. If you are interested in participating, please complete and submit the event registration below.

Registration Deadline October 20, 2018 

All HAAA members in good standing and submitting the below required application are eligible.

  • Each artist may submit up to 6 pieces of original art (3D artists are welcome too - will have table space) and artwork does not need to be for sale.

  • There will be a cloth bin for matted, unframed original work - no prints.

  • Greeting cards and 3D items are acceptable.

  • All artwork must be wired for hanging and properly meet HAAA Show Guidelines. 

  • Please use the HAAA tags found on this website

  • All exhibitors must help to tear down exhibit. (Set-up Sat, Nov 3rd 9:00 am, Tear down, 4:00 PM.)

  • All exhibitors need to stay for the day.

  • Artists selling their art, need to have a valid PA Sales Tax License (If no, and you intend to sell art, you will need a license. Please check General Information and Policies on the HAAA website for help to acquire a license.) *

  • Members will remit 15% of any sales that are made at their show to HAAA to benefit the HAAA scholarship fund.

  • Artists can apply to show their work at the “AC Community” Art show on the HAAA website.

  • HAAA and Christ Church and AC Community Art Show Committee are not responsible for any loss, stolen or damage to any artwork.

  • HAAA requests the right to photograph work for press information or cataloging of the exhibit.

  • HAAA Members exhibiting are to read and agree to the Hershey Area Art Associations, “General Information and Policy Statement” found on the HAAA website: http://hersheyart.org

  • Additional information regarding logistics will be distributed to participants prior to the event.

  • We will be putting together a short bio of all exhibiting artists.

Center Stage Arts in Health at the Hershey Medical Center

A Hershey Area Arts Association Community Activity!

For the third year we have been invited to participate in the Center Stage Art in Health program at the Hershey Medical Center. Our members’ art work will hang for about three months in the sensitive areas of the hospital to bring a soothing distraction to patients and family members in stressful situations.

The request is for original artwork that is pleasant and engaging and will bring calm, comfort or cheer to stressed folks in the hospital setting. Not accepted are any pieces that can be interpreted as disturbing, sexual, violent, or melancholic.

HAAA is asking for 3 to 4 submissions from each artist that wishes to be considered. Approximately 20 submissions will then be selected by the hospital to hang on display. You will be notified of the decision.

Steps for submission of artwork

  • Complete the registration form located at the link below.

  • Email a JPG file of completed, original artwork to the Center Stage Committee members, listed below.

  • Name each attachment as follows: name, title, medium, size, price, and framed dimensions (9” x 12” to 30” x 36”).

  • Artwork may be framed or unframed canvas with finished edges and ready to hang with wire, per HAAA hanging instructions.

  • If your artwork is accepted, it must be placed in resealable packaging that will remain at the Medical Center for repacking at the end of the exhibition. You will receive details about delivering your artwork from a HAAA Committee member.

  • Accepted artwork must be available for display during the entirety of the show dates

  • The Hershey Medical Center and Center Stage staff will:

    • Insure art pieces in the exhibition

    • Coordinate the sale of artwork with the artist

    • Retain a commission of 30%

    • Provide prices of artwork upon request

September 27 Complete the event registration form, link below. Then email JPG photos of your work to the all three committee members. Please title your email “Center State - Artist Name” and send to:

HAAA members can showcase and sell their art indoors at the Cocoa Beanery in Hershey, during the Farmer’s Market. The market is held every second Thursday in June through September. If you are interested in participating, please contact Mary Lott.

The exhibit area is located indoors

  • Three artists each month may show and sell their artwork from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm (originals and prints accepted).  Setup is between 1:30-2:30pm.

  • 15% commission paid to HAAA for any sales ($ go to HAAA's Scholarship fund)

  • The Artist is responsible for their own displays, sales, clean up, and must be present for the entire show.

  • HAAA has three display stands (3'x6') that can be borrowed - contact Mary Lott to inquire on availability

  • Publicity for the event is through HAAA website, the Beanery & social media

Cocoa Beanery Cafe Gallery Art Rotation

Hershey Area Art Association members are invited to hang artwork in the cafe at the Cocoa Beanery! All members in good standing and submitting the registration are eligible. Each rotation will be shared by 3 artists. The hanging date is September 12, 2018 at 3PM.

The public is invited to come see this art anytime that the Cocoa Beanery is open.

Three artists will share each rotation. Each artist may bring six original paintings of various sizes to be hung as space allows. Artists please use HAAA art tags which can be found on the HAAA website. Please use the ‘8 per page’ tags printed on cardstock. Also, artists should bring a printed biography of themselves to hang with the show. There will be 8x10 and 5x7 frames available to hang the biographies.  Please contact Linda Rose if you need assistance.

The Hershey Story Museum Exhibit

A special four-day exhibit, where HAAA members can showcase and sell their art in the beautiful grand lobby of the Hershey Story Museum. If you are interested in participating, please complete and submit the event registration form on our website. (Click Event Registration tab below).

Registration Deadline August 30th

Requirements for participating are:

  • Must be current Member of Hershey Area Art Association.
  • 15% commission payable to HAAA on any work sold.
  • No 3D Visual art display is available for this exhibit.
  • HAAA and the Hershey Story Museum are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged artwork.
  • All exhibitors must help to set up and tear down exhibit. (Set-up Wednesday, Sep. 5, 4:00 PM, Tear down Sunday, Sep. 9, 4:00 PM.)
  • All exhibitors must volunteer for a minimum 4 hour time slot to help monitor and handle exhibit sales.
  • Members may exhibit up to five original pieces and artwork does not need to be for sale.
  • All artwork must be wired for hanging and properly meet HAAA Show Guidelines. 
  • Please use the HAAA tags found on this website.

Registration is online or may be mailed to Hershey Area Art Association, Attention Nick Elsener, Box 654, Hershey, PA 17033. 

When completing the Event Registration Form please include in the Additional Message Section the following information;

  1. The number of pieces you intend to exhibit. 
  2. A day and time range you would be available to volunteer in assisting at exhibit.

Hershey Area Art Association members are invited to display artwork in the conservatory at Hershey Gardens!

All members in good standing and submitting required application are eligible.

Each artist may submit up to 6 pieces of art. There will be a cloth bin for matted, unframed original work - no prints.  Greeting cards and 3D items are acceptable.

Set up will be on Friday, August 24th from 4:30pm to 5:30pm.

Show and Sale at the Hershey Gardens August 25th and 26th from 9am to 6pm

Additional information regarding logistics will be distributed to participants prior to the event.

Each artist is required to sign-up for a 2 hour shift to great patrons and administer the sales table.

Members will remit 15% of any sales that are made at their show to HAAA to benefit the HAAA scholarship fund.

All work needs to be dry and hung with wire.

We will not be hanging on July 28 as it is time for the annual library book sale.

Cocoa Beanery Cafe Gallery Art Rotation

Hershey Area Art Association has new art on display at the Cocoa Beanery Café. Make sure to stop by to enjoy a cup of java and view the talented work of our featured members, Carolyn Alfano, Agnes Handwerk and Barb Yashinsky’s. Their art will be on display until July 17th. If any HAAA members are interested in displaying their own art at this terrific venue, Linda Rose, our Show Chair, is always looking for new artists to be featured. Exhibits change every two months. The hanging next rotation hangs on July 17, 2018 at 3PM.

The public is invited to come see this art anytime that the Cocoa Beanery is open.

[cancelled] Cocoa Beanery Pop-up Event

We are sorry, but this event has been cancelled due to bad weather

You are invited to show your art at the POPUP ART TENT held outside the Cocoa Beanery on the opening day of the Farmer’s Market on Bull Frog Road on Thursday May 17th from 2:30 – 6 pm.

The public is invited to join us on the Beanery's lawn.

Members, you can either show your work with other HAAA members under the joint HAAA tent or you can have your own tent there.

Deadline for signups is May 10th.

NOTE: Since this is an outdoor event - if there is bad weather this event will be canceled.

HAAA has a rotating two-month exhibit at the Cocoa Beanery near Penn State Hershey Medical Center of our artists' work. 

Art can be viewed at any time during Cocoa Beanery business hours.

Art is on a rotating schedule, so if members would like to display your art in a busy cafe setting please let us know.
