Center Stage Arts in Health at the Hershey Medical Center

A Hershey Area Arts Association Community Activity!

For the third year we have been invited to participate in the Center Stage Art in Health program at the Hershey Medical Center. Our members’ art work will hang for about three months in the sensitive areas of the hospital to bring a soothing distraction to patients and family members in stressful situations.

The request is for original artwork that is pleasant and engaging and will bring calm, comfort or cheer to stressed folks in the hospital setting. Not accepted are any pieces that can be interpreted as disturbing, sexual, violent, or melancholic.

HAAA is asking for 3 to 4 submissions from each artist that wishes to be considered. Approximately 20 submissions will then be selected by the hospital to hang on display. You will be notified of the decision.

Steps for submission of artwork

  • Complete the registration form located at the link below.

  • Email a JPG file of completed, original artwork to the Center Stage Committee members, listed below.

  • Name each attachment as follows: name, title, medium, size, price, and framed dimensions (9” x 12” to 30” x 36”).

  • Artwork may be framed or unframed canvas with finished edges and ready to hang with wire, per HAAA hanging instructions.

  • If your artwork is accepted, it must be placed in resealable packaging that will remain at the Medical Center for repacking at the end of the exhibition. You will receive details about delivering your artwork from a HAAA Committee member.

  • Accepted artwork must be available for display during the entirety of the show dates
