A Hershey Area Arts Association Community Activity!
HAAA has been invited once again to participate in the Center Stage Arts in Health program at Hershey Medical Center. Selected artwork will be displayed for approximately six months in hospital areas where it can provide a calming, uplifting distraction for patients and families during stressful times.
Center Stage is looking for original artwork that is pleasant, engaging, and brings calm, comfort, or cheer. They encourage art that reflects their institution’s commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, welcoming diverse racial and ethnic representation of people, as well as varied physical environment – for example, cityscapes rather than only landscapes. Likewise, they welcome expanding color palettes beyond pastel colors.
Artwork Guidelines
Each HAAA member may submit 2–4 original artworks for consideration.
Artwork should be appropriate for a hospital setting and evoke positive, peaceful, or uplifting feelings. Artwork that may be interpreted as disturbing, sexual, violent, or melancholic will not be accepted.
Artwork must be framed or on unframed canvas with finished edges, ready to hang with wire according to HAAA hanging instructions.
The complete artwork should be between 9" × 12" and 30" × 36".
Accepted artwork must be available for the entire exhibition period.
How to Submit
Email a 300dpi and 4 by 6 inches JPG image of each artwork to the HAAA Center Stage Coordinator:

Important Information for Selected Artists
If your artwork is selected by Hershey Medical Center:
You will receive notification of acceptance by November 14, 2026. At that time, Artists are notified which artwork has been selected and receive delivery instructions.
Artwork must be placed in resealable packing, which will remain at the Medical Center for repacking at the end of the exhibition.
Hershey Medical Center/Center Stage Arts staff will insure the artwork while it is in the exhibition.
The Medical Center will retain a 30% commission on any artwork sold. (HAAA will waive its usual 20% commission for this event.)
All artists registering for this event must read and agree to HAAA's General Information and Policy Statement, available on the HAAA website under Resources at hersheyart.org.

Week of May 23, 2027 HAAA Center Stage Exhibition ends: unsold artwork comes down. Pickup details will be provided.
