Ilene Rosenberg

This month’s presenter, Ilene Rosenberg, is a retired Penn State professor, with BA and MA in Art and Humanities. Ilene is still a practicing artist, enjoys visiting galleries, pottery, and painting in oils. Ilene will share with us her extensive knowledge of the German Expressionist Group, Der Blaue Reiter, and will focus on Vassily Kandinsky’s and the groups radical departure into abstraction, their stylistic motivations and influence in the course of 20th and 21st century art.

upcoming Haaa Art shows

under the colors Art Show - Hershey Public Library

This annual two day event, October 24 & 25, will be on view at the Hershey Public library. Registration for this show is closed. Be sure to visit the Hershey Library Oct. 24 or 25 and vote for your favorite art piece. Art on diplay in our HAAA Hallway gallery rotation, will remain on display until Dec. 13. Holiday Art Display - at Country Meadows

Hershey Area Art Association will have a special holiday art show and sale on display at Country Meadows from Nov 1 thru Nov 29. HAAA will be exhibiting paintings, photography, 3D art, jewelry and many more art items. There will be two special Open House Day events with artists and refreshments on hand, Saturday, Nov 8, and Saturday, Nov 22, from 1-4 PM. Go to Current Events for show details.

Two HAAA Library Gallery Rotations -

Our Hershey Library Gallery Room Rotation, rotates every two months. The next Autumn hallway rotation is part of our Under the Colors show, on display from Fri. Oct 24, 2025 to Dec 13. The next Winter rotation will be from Dec. 13, through Feb 14, 2026.
The next Community Room, Big Art Rotation is Nov 29, thru May 30, 2026. this space is reserved for Big Art. The room is set up to display larger art sizes of 30’ x 36’ or larger. Our current rotation is now on display until Nov 29. Be sure to check it out next time your at the library.
