Marianne Calenda

This month, our guest speaker Marianne Calenda holds a BA in art with an emphasis in printmaking and a Master’s in education. Since retiring as a college admin, Marianne has reinvested in her art practice and opened a studio/gallery in Elizabethtown, PA. Her expressive, atmospheric works are inspired by life in Lancaster County.

Marianne will demonstrate the tools and techniques of the hand printed monotype process using acrylic paint on a gelatin plate. Visit her website at mcalenda.com to see a sampling of her beautiful landscapes.

upcoming Haaa Art shows

under the colors Art Show - Hershey Public Library

This annual two day event, October 24 & 25, will be on view at the Hershey Public library. There are two ways to sign up, the short term option, just the two days of the Under the Colors event, or long term option, your art will stay on display for Under the Colors, and will remain on diplay in our HAAA Hallway Autumn gallery rotation, until Dec. 13. Go to Current Events for show details.

Two HAAA Library Gallery Rotations -

Our Hershey Library Gallery Room rotation, rotates every two months. The next Autumn hallway rotation is part of our Under the Colors show, on display from Fri. Oct 24, 2025 to Dec 13. The next Winter rotation wil be from Dec. 13, and will run through Feb 14, 2026.
The next Community Room, Big Art Rotation is Nov 29, thru May 30, 2026. this space is reserved for Big Art. The room is set up to display larger art sizes of 30’ x 36’ or larger. Our current rotation is now on display until Nov 29. Be sure to check it out next time your at the library.
